&Pasties Code of Conduct
Expectations & Accountability
&Pasties is committed to creating a celebratory, consent-forward, and affirming environment for all. The following outlines the expectations for everyone participating in our events. Failure to uphold these standards may result in removal without refund and/or restriction from future events.

Expectations for Everyone
At &Pasties, we expect all community members to:
-
Practice enthusiastic consent in all interactions
-
Respect personal space and physical boundaries
-
Speak and behave in ways that are free from harassment, discrimination, or hate
-
Celebrate performers and fellow guests without objectifying or demeaning them
-
Follow venue rules and local laws
-
Contribute to an atmosphere that is inclusive, body-positive, and affirming
We do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, intimidation, non-consensual contact, or disruptive behavior of any kind.
Expectations for Patrons
Our audiences are an essential part of the magic. We expect patrons to:
-
Keep hands to themselves unless a performer explicitly invites interaction
-
Follow announced tipping guidelines
-
Avoid interrupting, heckling, or talking over performances
-
Do not record/photograph without performer consent
-
Consume alcohol responsibly
Enthusiasm is welcome. Entitlement is not.
Expectations for Performers & Crew
Performers and crew shape the culture of the space. While our space is warm and community-driven, it is also a professional production environment. We expect:
-
Clear, timely communication
-
Respectful backstage conduct and adherence to consent practices
-
Honor of previously agreed-upon content, themes, and technical needs
-
Professionalism toward fellow performers, crew, venue staff, and producers
-
Performers are responsible for navigating their own interpersonal relationships
-
Care for shared spaces, props, and equipment
Backstage is a workplace. It must remain safe, collaborative, and supportive.
Backstage & Green Room Boundaries
Backstage areas, including green rooms, are private performer spaces.
-
Only performers cast in the event and essential crew may occupy backstage areas unless explicitly invited
-
Guest performers may not know or consent to additional individuals being present
-
Respecting private space boundaries is mandatory
These boundaries protect consent, comfort, and professionalism.

Communication & Resource Use
Producing shows often involves mass coordination. Sustainability requires shared responsibility.
Performers are expected to:
-
Review all shared reference materials before asking logistical questions
-
Utilize publicly shared resources and group communications
-
Minimize repetitive direct messages regarding information already provided
Excessive individual logistical demands create an unsustainable mental load and impact production quality.
Accountability
If expectations are not met, &Pasties reserves the right to:
-
Issue a warning
-
Remove an individual from the event
-
Restrict future participation or attendance
Reports can be made to an &Pasties producer, designated safety liaison, or venue staff. All concerns will be taken seriously and handled with discretion.
